Kaniksu Health Services (Sandpoint, Idaho)
This health center, located in a year-round resort town and artists' community in northern Idaho, is seeking an experienced (2 minimum) Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. Ideal candidates will be willing to contribute as a team player and understand evidence based outcomes in a community health setting. ER experience and bilingual English/Spanish are favorable, but not required.
Specializing in primary medical care for families and individuals of all ages, Kaniksu Health Services offers comprehensive patient care, support services and a health care home for patients by providing ongoing care, health management and related services for families and individuals throughout their lives. The largest patient population group is women in their childbearing years ages 24 - 46. There is a strong focus on Women's Health Care. Kaniksu Health Services also participates in the Depression and Optimizing Primary Care Collaboratives.
Residents enjoy community amenities quite remarkable for a "small town." A nonprofit 62-bed hospital provides care for more than 25,000 patients each year. Its 24-hour emergency department is capable of handling trauma, cardiac, pediatric and neurologic emergencies for Bonner County and the surrounding areas. The hospital has its own helicopter for emergency services which cuts the response time at least in half for this community compared to waiting for a helicopter from Spokane.
Clinic hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Wed.; 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, Tues. & Thurs.; No weekends.
Expected FTE: 40 hours/week
Current Staffing FTE: 3.5 physician, 1 nurse pracitioner, 1 dentist and 1.8 behavioral health FTE.
Experience Level: 5 years preferred, but will accept applications from new graduates.
Salary: Very competitive range, DOE
Paid Time Off: 160 hours/year
Sick Leave: 64 hours/year
CME: $70 per CME credit @ 20/year
Insurance: Disability Coverage; Medical, dental and vision insurance for employee. $2,000/year in-house medical/dental, BH benefit/year; Malpractice Insurance through FTCA.

Relocation Allowance: Depends on number of miles moved.
